IEC has a 55-year history of manufacturing quality slip rings with precision and care. IEC slip rings have been used in applications involving the far reaches of space and the deepest depths of the oceans.

With over 10,000 slip ring drawings we have experience with a wide variety of designs and applications. Mounting options include, but are not limited to, end-of-shaft, over-the-shaft and inside-the-shaft mounting.

IEC slip rings are manufactured using the highest quality materials available including solid coin silver rings, graphite and silver brushes, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys. IEC uses state of the art CNC machines to manufacture all of our parts and an experienced workforce to assemble each slip ring.

GP-50 Model 340 Pressure Transmitter

GP:50 announces the release of yet another product to further complete their full line of upstream oilfield pressure and temperature transmitters. Working in conjunction with a major well servicing company, GP:50 developed the Model 340-IM series pressure transmitter specifically designed for blender discharge pressure applications. The Model 340-IM resolved the chronic high failure rates they experienced with other suppliers.

Designed for direct pipe mount via its flush process pipe connection the Model 340 series can handle the pressure and harsh media found on Frac blender trucks.

The Model 340 transmitter offers a compact, all welded, rugged design with a flush faced sensor that resists clogging found with conventional pipe mounted transmitters. With at least 5 times proof pressure, and a machined stainless steel sensing diaphragm, it can withstand erosion from aggregate and survive high pressure spikes typically found in blender applications.

With a proprietary sensor design there is zero installation offset, typically found with flush NPT process devices. Available in 4-20mA, 0-5 VDC or Canbus J1939 outputs and pressure ranges from 0-75 thru 0-1,000 PSI.

Electro Cam: Net Forward Interface

Electro Cam Corp. is pleased to offer this sneak preview of our new PS-2252-12-TP1 Net Forward Encoder Interface (NFEI). Ideal for applications requiring perfect alignment, the NFEI eliminates erroneous encoder pulse counts caused by uncontrolled backward movement, and counts forward pulses until reverse motion occurs. It then stops counting pulses (reverse or forward) until encoder position exceeds the last forward position before reverse.

For example, when a web process stops, some backward movement will occur. Upon re-start, the process will overlap a portion of the web, resulting in mis-registration. The NFEI counts pulses until reverse occurs, then withholds pulses until the exact point the process stopped, resulting in perfect registration! If the process stops halfway through a character, the character will be finished when the process restarts. Scrap is eliminated and downtime is reduced.

The new NFEI works with standard quadrature encoders.
