OPKON’s core product has traditionally been Resistive Linear Position Transducers. These position sensors are commonly applied in plastic injection machinery, textile machines, transfer and hydraulic, metal forming machines and general automation applications. In the recent years, OPKON has started production of rotary magnetic encoders and linear magnetic incremental sensors, and Rotary potentiometers for Angle Measurement.

Signal outputs from 0-5vdc  over a rotation angle of 45°, 90°, 180° or 360°, with IP Rating of IP-64.

Models are available in a male shaft version c/w Flexible coupling and Mounting bracket, or a Blind hollow shaft version with flexible tether mount.

We patented internal short circuit protection for 2-wire sensors and developed the first weld field immune (WFI) sensors to survive resistance welder applications, positioning Namco as a recognized leader in high reliability electronic sensing. In fact, reliability is so important to our customers that we introduced the industry’s first Lifetime Replacement Program for electronic sensors in 1987.

With over 10,000 slip ring drawings we have experience with a wide variety of designs and applications. Mounting options include, but are not limited to, end-of-shaft, over-the-shaft and inside-the-shaft mounting.

IEC slip rings are manufactured using the highest quality materials available including solid coin silver rings, graphite and silver brushes, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys. GP:50 announces the release of yet another product to further complete their full line of upstream oilfield pressure and temperature transmitters. Working in conjunction with a major well servicing company, GP:50 developed the Model 340-IM series pressure transmitter specifically designed for blender discharge pressure applications. The Model 340-IM resolved the chronic high failure rates they experienced with other suppliers.

Designed for direct pipe mount via its flush process pipe connection the Model 340 series can handle the pressure and harsh media found on Frac blender trucks.

The Model 340 transmitter offers a compact, all welded, rugged design with a flush faced sensor that resists clogging found with conventional pipe mounted transmitters. With at least 5 times proof pressure, and a machined stainless steel sensing diaphragm, it can withstand erosion from aggregate and survive high pressure spikes typically found in blender applications.

With a proprietary sensor design there is zero installation offset, typically found with flush NPT process devices. Available in 4-20mA, 0-5 VDC or Canbus J1939 outputs and pressure ranges from 0-75 thru 0-1,000 PSI.
